Strive to keep a standard independent of outside influence.
Using myself as an example, I was awarded a black belt four years ago but feel I’m 6 months to 2 years away from being a black belt for myself.
Lest you think the above is false humility, the difference is having a game built on black belt mechanics comprised of structure, simplicity, and efficiency.
It’s the difference between ART and thinking quality can be determined by whipping out our respective BJJ d*cks and measuring. ;o)
