Something we can be aware of how pro-active versus passive we’re being, or when reflecting on a training session.
A more pro-active session of course is going to be more planned, focused, and disciplined, while a passive session is more open, flowing, and impulsive.
I don’t think there’s an either/or here as a less structured session is 100 times more beneficial than the regimented session that ends prematurely or doesn’t happen. Also, sometimes the best ideas come out of a loose session, so yeah, take chill pills when needed.
In conclusion, the important things here are balance and being honest with ourselves in relation to what we want to achieve, not beating ourselves up.
