Mindsets: Goals As Tools

Have previously criticized popular ‘success’ literature as it relates to goal setting, mentioning they are often centered on achieving things outside our direct control and limited by our sense of possibility in the present.

Thinking about this topic some more, where goals CAN be useful is keeping ourselves on track provided we’re grounded in action/non-action (things we can control), and the humility to understand insights, information, and circumstances can turn life as we know it upside down.

Yes, it’s wonderful and fun to dream up different possibilities, but let’s do it in a way that informs and respects today.
