Guess you could call this concept energy efficiency as it relates to how an opponent counters a given position:
The basic idea is if my opponent makes a small adjustment to counter a position, my re-counter shouldn’t take 10 steps or even 2 steps, otherwise I’m losing the energy battle.
Along the above lines, creatively I’m looking for the re-counter/counter that takes less or at least equal amount of energy. Part of this comes out of breaking down why ‘advantageous’ positions are in fact mechanically advantageous, and solving problems accordingly.
While simple, watched a number of solutions on a YouTube video yesterday that required way too many steps and energy for the problems they were attempting to solve. Think simple and elegant. =)
