Having refined my approach a bit to practice and training, have been asking myself what the relationship is between those things a quiet, meditative mind.
What I’ve concluded is a quiet mind is akin to a luxury version of the human experience, where we’re getting a lot out of very little. Why? Because we’ve gotten out of our preconceptions long enough to visit life directly.
Some people think we can achieve such states more often through training, but if you think about it, that’s just an affirmation of our general lack of consciousness. ;o)
The truth is, like misplaced car keys that have been in our hands the whole time, the quiet mind is always there underneath even the most panicked of thoughts.
